15 Amazingly Fun Office Team Building Scavenger Hunt Ideas

Workplace scavenger hunts are rapidly climbing the list of favorite corporate team-building activities, and for good reason: where else can employees have this much fun while learning about their company and coworkers?

Modern scavenger hunt apps, like Scavify, are streamlining the end-to-end process of planning and deploying a workplace scavenger hunt. Since the planning and execution is now so easy, the only hard part is in coming up with ideas for employee tasks! The list below is designed to help with that process, so read on and be inspired.

Note: the format of the task is identified in parentheticals prior to each item, e.g., Q&A for trivia items, “PHOTO” for photo, “VIDEO” for video, etc.

Idea List

  1. (QR): Scan the QR code on bottom of the first floor conference room table
  2. (GPS): Check-in at the conference room used for the [insert team name] team weekly meeting
  3. (QR): Scan the QR code found in the breakroom cabinet where the coffee is kept
  4. (GPS): Check in at the lunch establishment that’s the closest distance to the main office entrance
  5. (PHOTO): Take a photo with the portrait/statue/fountain/entrance desk in the first floor lobby
  6. (QR): Find the code on the framed portrait on the desk of our longest tenured employee
  7. (GPS): Check in at the nearest establishment where an employee could get a cocktail after 5 p.m.
  8. (QR): Scan the QR code on the monitor of the employee who is solely responsible for [add clearly defined job role here]
  9. (GPS): Check in at the nearest health club where employees go for a quick workout
  10. (QR): Scan the QR code found on the back of the only machine that can make color copies in the office
  11. (GPS): Check in at the nearest gas station (by distance) to the office
  12. (GPS): Check in at [employee name here]’s favorite restaurant
  13. (VIDEO): Imagine if your desk as-is were a tourist attraction for people from all over the world, and give a quick tour of all the key landmarks as if you were an official tour guide
  14. (Q&A): What was the name of the first employee hired by our founder?
  15. (QR): Scan the QR code on the oldest condiment bottle in the breakroom fridge
